Chrishell Stause bought a house with money from her old wedding ring
Chrishell Stause has admitted that the money from her wedding ring was used to help pay for her new home.
The Selling Sunsetstar was previously married to Justin Hartley from This Is Us, who filed for divorce in 2019
Stause said to Kelly Clarkson on her namesake talk programme that she wanted to put a good spin on her divorce after selling her wedding band.
"Did that feel good? Because I adore it. "That's amusing," Clarkson said, referring to the reality star's plan to spend the money on a new home
"When life offers you lemons, sometimes you have to add a little vodka," Stause responded. "I was just trying to make the best of a bad situation."
"I mean, what are you meant to do, keep wearing it?" Clarkson added, expressing her support for the choice.
"I think that's incredible. You did a terrific job with money."
Stause's memoir, Under Construction: Because Living My Best Life Took a Little Work, was recently released, in which she discusses her divorce and her time on Selling Sunset.
"I believe this was just a therapeutic circumstance," she said on the show, "because so much is spoken out there (on social media and in the news) and sometimes there's not a lot of context."
"I've been healed; there's no longer any anger in my body." So it's good to set the scene and tell a story that I'm sure many people can connect to."
